“Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality
to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are
mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.”
— Hebrews 13:1–3 (NIV)
The Welfare Unit of The Goodnews Chapel, Benue State University, Makurdi exists to demonstrate the love of Christ in practical ways by
attending to the physical, emotional, and social needs of members. Rooted in the scriptural mandate of brotherly love, the unit is charged
with the responsibility of ensuring that no member of the Chapel suffers in isolation.
With compassion and intentionality, the Welfare Unit reaches out to students and members in times of joy, crisis, or need—promoting a
family-like atmosphere where everyone feels supported, valued, and cared for.
